Black leather Jacket: Outfit of The decade

Updated: May 31, 2018

As a First Blog Post, I believe it be fitting to have one of the more rebellious-looking and charismatic yet undoubtedly prominent articles of clothing!

The Biker Leather Jacket- an instant classic in the fashion world. Recognizable throughout any culture, age and pop media for it's rebellious-streak, and slick-looking when coordinated with the right outfit, which in and of itself is fool-proof!

  • Fun Fact: The first ever Leather Jacket in history was donned by German Fighter Pilots during WWII as a protective military uniform. It wasn't until a decade later when a New York Fashion Designer known as "Irving Scott" designed the first ever

What Can I Wear With Said Jacket?

The jacket is best worn with a Plain White Scoop-neck, V-Neck or regular crew-neck t-shirt with a black necklace of sorts. Although, sometimes you can add a bit of flare and wear a simple Logo Shirt underneath. Preferably a white one, but a simple logo t-shirt no less. For example, I like to wear my white with red Levi’s Logo T-Shirt or my white Armani Jeans Logo T-Shirts with black font!

An alternative could be to wear a black plain t-shirt (with white text) underneath. If the shirt is a plain black and you wish to go the extra mile, then a simple silver necklace and silver watch will coordinate with the silvery parts of all the jacket’s metal widgets.

To symmetrically complete the outfit, wear black skinny (non)ripped jeans and a pair of black boots or regular black sneakers.

The Black Leather Jacket used in my various photo-shoots is a Biker Jacket underneath the brand name Divided, which I had purchased from H&M online in Extra-Small, the size being a factor that I am profoundly fussy over. The base price came down to a mere $69.99 which was amazing considering that most brands *cough* ZARA and AllSaints *cough* would mercilessly siphon a good $129 out of your wallet for the same coat!
