With a dark green hue and a rectangular contour, this cologne gives off a verdant, forest vibe. To quote a website article by Sephora, “The bottle is inspired by the iconic black Burberry trench coat—its quality, craftsmanship, style, and timeless appeal”. A true marriage of British Craftsmanship and Alchemy, if you will.
This particular specimen has a contemporary myriad of sharp Grapefruit and Grounded Vetiver, giving it an earthly feel, and making this particular piece an intriguing finish for any summer night.
The Mr Burberry piece isn’t as oil-emphasized compared to the rest of my personal arsenal (à la Versace Eros or Allure by Chanel). In essence, the only real drawback I ever had with this cologne was that it never lasted longer than 2 hours, due to it’s lighter consistency, thus negating any chance of it having the chance to properly permeate the skin like other oil-based colognes.
Nonetheless, I believe that this fragrance is still worth collecting solely for its craftsmanships. Sure, you might feel shy of a few compliments, but that should never be the deciding factor of whether or not you make a purchase or not!
